Since we always need to measure our impact and to ensure that what we are doing is correct, we start with a Baseline Survey. A Baseline Survey typically will include, but are not limited to:

  • Entomological Survey
  • Epidemiological Survey
  • Knowledge, Aptitude and Perception (KAP) Survey
  • GIS Analysis of Sentinel Sites

 

Once the Base Line Survey has been completed the results are utilised to determine the most suitable method of intervention and/or combination of intervention methods.

JBN Consulting can provide guidance as well as the products required for these interventions. Interventions typically include, but are not limited to:

  • ITNs (Insecticide Treated Nets)
    • Sourcing and supply of Insecticide Treated Nets
    • Sourcing and supply of Re-impregnation Materials
    • Training on the correct use and maintenance of the ITN’s
    • IRS (Indoor Residual Spraying)
      • Sourcing and supply of Internationally approved Insecticides
      • Sourcing and supply of the required spray equipment
      • Training on the correct implementation and safety surrounding implementation of IRS
    • Larvaciding
      • Sourcing and supply of Internationally approved Larvacides

 

Although the interventions may have a significant impact on the number of malaria cases, the proper treatment for malaria also needs to be addressed.

  • Drug Recommendations based on International Best Practices and Standards
